snow & stardust

its brisk in here hiding from the cold.

like the quinzee I built when I was twelve: Mindfully pieced together, but built out of ones & zeros instead of snow.

… a self-constructed world to chill amidst.

but its good that your here.

smashing around this meta-modernist phenomenal/digital plane.

Always Question Everything.

My years have been spent ‘seeking’ through diverse experience.
Looking to peer into as many sides of the prism as possible.

recipe:
1 ounce iconoclastic diligence + 3 ounces ‘caution to the side of the road’...
throttle with everything you got.

When I came back to my heart to reframe the mania…
A reconnection stirred.
A reacquaintance to my golden ball.
The one that every single one of us loses at some point when we are young.

It seems now that ‘identity’ is a farce.

We are all complete.

We all just have to stop trying so fucking hard.

Yoga is a reminder.

That with one single conscious breath we can return.
To the interconnectedness of all things.

The universe and the individual...
one and the same.

The conscious rebel who rages inside each of us is equally as important as the peacefully equanimous and stoic self.

And both must be tended to with heartfulness as if they were indeed someone else whom benevolently needed our love.

but… it’s also okay to just sit empty once in a while too.

Moving pictures…

Looking back at that afternoon.

Pressing record for the very first time.

Lying on the grass with my recently reconstructed knee in the Madoc summer sun…

The three of us had no idea the chapter that serene afternoon was sparking in our lives.
Myself, Juliana, & Prince- It was the beginning.

1000+ videos & 10,000 creations later…

We still have yet to arrive,
because it was then, and still truly is- just about the departure.

Each creation is the path that leads to the next.

I believe if there is any hope for our future, it lies in our struggle.

The driving force of music.

At the start it was mix tapes I put together and scribbled “Music With Meaning” on. Later it became co-creation & expression into the physical world.

The thing is that when music is an art, it has the power to break through emotional boundaries. And that’s when people are gifted the power to change themselves & in turn the world.

to change, evolve, and grow. music is the liberating note.

Through the years I was lucky enough to be involved in so many projects,
and loved almost all of them equally…

Except Closet Monster & my time at the start with Avril Lavigne
both will live at the forefront of my heart forever.

Karma Project

Good people doing good things that they should:

Although nobody asked them to, they dedicate their entire lives to other’s well-beings for very little in return.
I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to have met, learned from, and continue to support these incredible people through our work at Boho Beautiful.

Before every hockey game as a kid my dad slapped both sides of my helmet (with his hands with force enough to make me flinch)… and said the words:

-work hard and have fun-
